Summon rates, pity and banners
The rates below are identical on every banner — what changes between banners is the Mythic pool and the currency, not your odds.
| Rarity | Summon rate | Pity |
|---|---|---|
| Secret | 0.01% | 10,000 summons |
| Mythic | 0.25% | 400 summons |
| Legendary | 10% | 50 summons |
| Epic | 15.06% | — |
| Rare | 74.68% | — |
Exclusive units are absent from this table on purpose — they are event and tournament rewards and cannot be summoned at any rate. Every summon also has a flat 1% Shiny chance, +200% with the Shiny Hunter gamepass.
Beginner's Banner
Beginner's TicketsEight fixed Mythics at 12.5% each, with lower pity than Standard or Mini. Finishing the Beginner's Quest event grants enough tickets to reach guaranteed Mythic pity — this is the intended free route to your first Mythic.
Standard Banner
GemsThree Mythics that rotate every half hour. When a Mythic drops, the middle unit is 50% and the two side units are 25% each. The only banner that can drop a Secret from the base pool.
Mini Banner
GemsOne Mythic at 100% of the Mythic pool, rotating half-hourly. Strictly better than Standard when the unit you want is featured — you are not splitting the pool three ways.
Villain Banner (limited)
Villain CoinsThree limited Mythics at 33.33% each plus the Secret Crow. Luck Potions do nothing here, and the VIP -20% summon cost does not apply. Leaves when the Villain Invasion event ends.
Check Auto-Sell before a summon session
Auto-Sell bins units of whichever rarities you leave switched on — Rare 25 Gold, Epic 50, Legendary 100, Mythic 500, Exclusive 1,000. Secret units cannot be auto-sold, but everything else can, and an Exclusive sold for 1,000 Gold is not coming back.
How to get more units
Units come from the summon banner, and summons cost Gems. The fastest free Gems come from redeeming the latest codes — new codes drop with nearly every update and milestone.
Units FAQ
How many units are in Anime Expeditions?
The roster spans six rarities — Secret, Exclusive, Mythic, Legendary, Epic and Rare. Summer Siege (Update 2.0) added nine source-verified unit lines on top of the launch, Villain Invasion and Warrior Saga rosters: Lightning God, Sovereign, Jester, Kitsune, Head Captain, Rainman, Sand, Sharkfang and Water Mage. Their exact tier placements are still under review here until official/stat-backed rankings stabilize.
Which anime is each Anime Expeditions unit from?
Units are legally-safe renames of real anime characters, so the in-game name rarely matches what you are searching for. Shadow (Divine) is Megumi Fushiguro from Jujutsu Kaisen, 8th Sword (Berserk) is Kenpachi Zaraki from Bleach, Puppet (Telekinetic) is Gowther from The Seven Deadly Sins, Crow (Black Fire) is Itachi Uchiha from Naruto and Stone Alchemist is Senku Ishigami from Dr. STONE. The full table is on this page.
What are the Anime Expeditions summon rates?
Rare 74.68%, Epic 15.06%, Legendary 10%, Mythic 0.25% and Secret 0.01%, and those rates are the same on every banner. Pity is 50 summons for Legendary, 400 for Mythic and 10,000 for Secret. Every summon also has a flat 1% chance to come out Shiny, raised by +200% if you own the Shiny Hunter gamepass.
How do you get units in Anime Expeditions?
Summon with Gems on the Standard or Mini banner, or with Beginner's Tickets on the Beginner's Banner. Redeem the current codes first — code Gems are free summons. Two exceptions: Exclusive units come only from events and tournaments, and 8th Sword (Berserk) drops from Spirit City Raid Act 3 at 1% with a guaranteed pity after 35 clears.
What are the best units in Anime Expeditions?
The last fully structured tier-list data on this site is still the pre-Summer Siege meta led by Dark Mage, Shadow, 8th Sword, Crow and Puppet. The official Fandom tier-list page refreshed on September 5, but the accessible API text exposes role categories rather than a complete ordered ranking, so Summer Siege units are listed as roster-verified without invented ranks.
Should I use Trait Crystals on low-rarity units?
No — save Trait Crystals for Mythic or Secret units you plan to keep. And check the recommended trait before you roll: most top units want Unbound, but Puppet wants Optics, Cursed Student wants Forsaken, Salmon Sorcerer wants Primordial and Flame Emperor wants Draconic.
Does Anime Expeditions have a Goose unit?
No. There is no unit called Goose anywhere in the Anime Expeditions roster across any of the six rarities. Searches for it are most likely aimed at a different Roblox game.
